German 4 Künstler der Künstlergemeinschaft Wasserburg a.Inn,
English 4 members of the artist-association Wasserburg upon Inn,
AK68 from Germany, get together in Lituania to experience the "being on the spot" situation using their individual artistic means or rather performing a creative symposium.
The results of the on location art-working, will be shown at the Meno Parkas gallery - partly with artworks brought along by the artists themselves and for that reason
building just a minimal sequence of the whole exhibition.
4 artists saying hello...by keeping their artwork, their raw material or just an idea sort of with them - ready creating, amending
and completing it on-site. In such a way the exhibition is not only a "transportation event" but rather a chance establishing
a connection form the artists place of origin to the place of the exhibition.
Quite an exciting plan and to an extremely high degree interactive happening!

Introduction taken from the “hello..” catalogue:
"hello...” is another bridge
In the beginning of October 2007 gallery „Meno parkas“ celebrated the 10th
anniversary of its activity.
The international conference organized on this occasion was called “Migration of art: challenges, perspectives, urgent points”. The lecturers from Lithuania and foreign countries
paid a lot of attention to the international projects hosted by the gallery, its relationships with partners from other European countries and the further perspectives.
It seems that, not coincidentally the
project “hello…” found its way to Kaunas. This project approves the ideas, thoughts observed by lecturers of the confer-ence, that the gallery “Meno parkas” in Kaunas can be a great place to run more and more
international art projects.
So “hello…” It is not only a usual hello. It is an acquaintance, an introduction and an invitation. It is an introduction of creation, an invitation to collaborate and share the
creative wealth; an invitation to talk in the good comprehensible language of art.
Art works of German artists are presented in many art projects in Kaunas every year, since 1999. Germany is the biggest and
most active gallery’s partner for the international activity. Naturally, the presentation of new names, artists and their works attained the proper attention.
Art works of Silvia Hatzl, Anne Marie Kohwagner-
Leucht, Irmgard Potthoff and Andreas Pytlik is another step to the better cognition of German contemporary art. In fact, creation of Irmgard Potthoff was slightly known, because of anterior exposition in Kaunas. Her
work was exposed one year ago at the international exhibition “Ultima ratio”, which took place in gallery “Meno parkas”. However, the project “hello…” gave an opportunity to get to know the creation of Irmgard
Potthoff and her colleagues.
So, once again “hello…”, the step is done…Kaunas – in year 2007, Wasserburg – in year 2008. Art works of contemporary German artists in Kaunas art works of contemporary
Lithuanian artists in Wasserburg.
“hello…” is another bridge. Bridges of contemporary art partnerships:
• Bavarian Artists Association AK68 and gallery “Meno parkas” Kaunas
• “hello…” – is not only usual, regular hello; • “hello…” – is not only “see you later”; • “hello…” – we are already together; • “hello…” – is literally “good luck for all of us”
